Beautiful tribute to one of the most exquisite of flowers. I'm reminded of how, in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, a couple days' walk from any road, I once found myself in the midst of dozens, nay hundreds of these beauties, growing all around and even in the trail. A feeling of the otherworld drawn close to this one, presence of nature spirits weaving their web in peace in that untrammeled place.
I will never forget my first sighting of a pink Lady’s Slipper. I bowed down to the Lady in homage, awe and wonder. Really looking forward to your book!
I am so looking forward to your book! Have you heard of pua'aehuehu, fern medicine? It's an esoteric plant medicine of the Mū Hawaiians that is just being revealed now outside the Mū culture. I have been a disciple of the ferns of the past few years and it's been astonishing!

I've not and would be most curious to learn more.
Have a look at Ke’oni Hanalei’s website, www.pohala.net.
Or go ask the ferns!
Thank you. She is my earliest memory of being captivated by a plant - and I am always so happy to find her here on the Cape. 💕
