Google’s Harmut Neven was likely engaging in boastful speculation when he suggested that the company’s Willow chip may have accessed other universes in the process of solving a seemingly impossible math problem, writing:
It’s strange how much my thoughts have been turning to rocks, pebbles, mountains and similar geological phenomena recently. I wonder if it’s also happening to other people? I would have regarded the idea of such things have any sentience bizarre just a few months ago - now I think, why not? What makes me think I know it all?
I agree with you. The way forward is recreating an alliance with the earth and the otherworld. I’ve been connecting deeply with the sacred alliance of the earth, the nations (elements), and the divine to gain awareness on how to weave the wisdom of the past into today’s reality.
This is so powerful and so haunting Seán, my body hurts reading about the draining of the sacred wells of Ireland for AI servers... UGH. I've been feeling increasingly fiercely concerned and angry about the AI Waters, and your post here helps me deepen and contextualise this feeling, and begin to dream into ways I might sing ever deeper louder songs of praise back to all the waters where I am, so that somewhere in the place of the One Water, the Living Water, a balance is honoured. I also wonder if this is why the stories of the Well Maidens connected to the Grail have been coming to me so often recently... Anyway, thank you so much for this post. xox
As someone who tends holy wells and knows how desperate the situation with many of them are, this is a new shock. Thank you for sharing it, but what on earth (or elsewhere) can be done? At the very least it could be water recycled from eg sewage treatment plants...
By shining this clear light on what is happening and it’s roots you are already part of the resistance. Thank you for that.
This is timely for me personally. I have been working with one of my ancestral lines on the theme of relationship to work and money. They showed me clarity that the root of the weed lies in our forced removal and separation from the land that nourished us for so long.
Much to contemplate. I am most grateful for your insights and connections. Like the computations, I fear the speed of destruction is exponentially more than we can halt. Revolution NOW
"I know the resistance begins with listening to the voices of the living world and the Otherworld..."
Indeed it does! Thank you, dear Seán, all of this can't be repeated enough. We're forced to scramble for survival in a state of painful separation and every day feels like human exceptionalism and domination are cemented deeper, but resistance is possible and it starts with our ideas - for you can never kill an idea. No amount of capitalist extraction can eradicate the idea and obfuscate the fact that we're destroying the planet, and ourselves in the process.
I like your assessment of the misuse of psychedelics among tech bros. It's a great offence to these sacred teachers.
Thank you for your particular clarity, Seán, and how it shines a needed light in this time. "The falcon cannot hear the falconer." The solving of the unsolvable problems. Yes, we must entreat the Gods to not abandon us with acts of honor, respect, and service that show them that we need them. I hereby pledge to take down every AI generated piece of art I've ever lazily included in my work and replace it with something I drew myself.
I agree. You have the Bards ability to put into words what I, a hedgy Hill Druid finds difficult. I am sure I have the blood and genes or at least genetic memory of my Tua de Denaan ancestors. My Mother says that I have always gort at least on foot in faerie that ain’t a lie.
I can talk and hear nature and animals but talking back to the ever disjointed crazy human / droids fast asleep in the matrix is tiresome.
Your post reminded me of the following quote by David Suzuki
David Suzuki
“The way we see the world shapes the way we treat it. If a mountain is a deity, not a pile of ore; if a river is one of the veins of the land, not potential irrigation water; if a forest is a sacred grove, not timber; if other species are biological kin, not resources; or if the planet is our mother, not an opportunity -- then we will treat each other with greater respect. Thus is the challenge, to look at the world from a different perspective.”
I am so saddened by what’s going on in my beloved Ireland and fear that soon she will be eventually swallowed up by this conquered we have no means to fight. My only hope is that the legend that the Tua will return is true. Or else as Suzuki says we are heading to a wall at breakneck speed and all people can do is argue over where to sit.

They are speaking to many now indeed

Well said

Acknowledgement. Forgiveness. Reclaiming.

Dear Seán,
Thank you for taking the trouble to articulate this important perspective at this time and in a way that is accessible for non-specialists.
It remains perplexing to know what each of us can do in the face of such desecration, beyond carrying on with the practices that we have.
Perhaps we must be bolder in our assertions of our world-view, even in the face of skepticism.
Beautiful, necessary and very moving thank you for sharing 🖤
